Protection through conservation easements of thousands of acres of agricultural and wild lands
Protection of Rural & Remote zones from Short Term Rentals
Reduction of maximum house size from 15,000 sq ft to 9,250 sq ft
Establishment of a cap on outside BTU usage
Ongoing updating of land use codes and building regulations to support reductions in Greenhouse Gas emissions and embedded carbon in building materials.
Ongoing work to modernize and improve safety at the Airport.
Construction of microgrid for upper valley resiliency, along with 5,000 MW solar farm, with funding from successful grant applications
Francie has been a Roaring Fork Valley resident for 30 years.
She has served as County Commissioner for 4 years.

WORK EXPERIENCE
EDUCATIONAL WORK
Taught middle school for 35 years; 26 years in Aspen and Carbondale schools: Math, Science, Literature, and Spanish
ADVENTURE TOURISM
Founded, managed, & led Colorado Wilderness Experience - 25-day kayaking, hiking, climbing, biking trips for teenagers: worked for Colorado Outward Bound in Marble and Hurricane Island Outward Bound in Maine.
AGRICULTURE
Owned & operated family ranch in southern Colorado; worked for Carbondale-based, family-owned Crystal River Meats, raising & marketing grass-fed beef, as well as farming 5000 acres for pasture & feed near San Luis, CO; currently works with family to raise cattle in Crystal River Valley for local markets.
RETAIL
Managed Crystal River Meats Market, offering organic and local foods

Worked Basalt, Glenwood, & Aspen Farmers’ Markets for Crystal River Meats
